Programme
Outer space through the polycultures of art, ecology, and technology
Cosmoimaginaries gathers a research network around outer space, art, and emerging knowledge practices with public events, online sessions, exhibitions, live workshops, storytelling and dialogues. The network—held in Aotearoa (New Zealand)—looks beyond extractive space industry futures, opening cultural and creative imaginaries to refigure astroecology, communication, and life in an era of climate breakdown and the second space age.
The 2024 programme is hosted by chroma.space, and partners with Intercreate (Taranaki, Aotearoa) and Care + Climate (Greenwich, London), and more. With thanks to Scumacher College and Shift for supporting this work.
