Programme
Outer space through the polycultures of art, ecology, and technology
Cosmoimaginaries gathers an art and research programme around earth ecologies and outer space with public events, online sessions, exhibitions, live workshops, storytelling and dialogues. Held in Aotearoa/New Zealand, but connecting world-wide, the programme explores art science, sensory practices and storytelling, beyond extractive space industry futures, opening to diverse cultural and creative imaginaries that may refigure communication and life in an era of climate breakdown and the second space age.
The 2024 programme is hosted by the Astro Ecologies Institute and Intercreate, with thanks to Care + Climate (Greenwich, London), Schumacher College and Shift for supporting phases of this work.
